Description of the research topic:
Digital geometry is the theoretical bases of image processing and computer graphics. Usually, a regular grid is used (e.g., the square grid as a screen), and coordinates with integer values are used. Digital (path based) distances, graph properties of non regular grids are belonging to this field. Applications in image processing, computer graphics, etc. Of these grids and these distances are also important research tasks.
