Description of the research topic:

Theories and methods of discourse analysis (DA), the study of texts/discourses and of textual features (larger patterns in text, text typologies, genres, text cohesion and coherence, etc.), genre analysis, interaction and conversation analysis (conversational structure, conversation strategies, speech acts), institutional discourse, critical DA, the relationship between DA and language teaching, methodological problems related to research in DA (choice of corpus/data, means of data collection, methods of analysis, reliability, etc.).
