Description of the research topic:

Under this wide umbrella topic, candidates can work on Natural Language Processing tasks that can be tackled by (primarily statistical and/or connectionist) machine learning methods. Our students must be able to handle the linguistic and computational aspects of the selected and successfully negotiated NLP task, including the compilation of training and testing data sets and developing new (or further developing existing) software tools.
