Description of the research topic:

Exploration of the international crisis areas is an important goal. Hungary as a European country and part of the international space participates and takes part under the auspices of various international organizations (UN, EU, OSCE) peacekeeping, humanitarian assistance and training operations and missions. The role of the military and civilian organizations and significance of cooperation is an important basis for the organization of the public administration.

Research aims:

The research aims is to identify the problems of crisis regions of international and European space (the Balkans, the Caucasus, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, Asian, Latin American and the African continent), exploration of possible solutions, comparative evaluation of proposals for a given crises region. The role of geographical space is important, crises region’s – being part of the international space – geographic criteria and exploration of security geographical factors; evaluating the impact on security; through the example of the crisis areas determination of the problems; possible solution to the crisis; the role of international organizations and the Hungarian Defence Forces in crisis management.

Research methods might be applied:

Studying the printed and electronic special literature; consultations with experts of the topic; systemizing experiences gained earlier; analysis of documents, drawing the conclusions; shaping proposals, publishing the results.
Assessment and evaluation of crises areas geostrategic situation, physical, social, economic and military characteristics, their impact on regional and global security (situation analysis, exploration of experiences, summary). Exploration of the possible solutions, conclusions and recommendations regarding the solution, and formulation of proposals.
