Description of the research topic:

High-energy periodically intensity-modulated pulses can efficiently generate multi-cycle terahertz pulses. The topic includes the study of techniques of intensity-modulated pulse generation (by numerical simulations), especially the generation of intensity-modulated electromagnetic pulses by dual-chirped optical parametric amplifier. The PhD student can also take part in the concerning experiments.
