Description of the research topic:
Our aim is to study variants of membrane systems, in particular P automata (membrane automata). Membrane systems or P systems, introduced by Gheorghe Paun in 1998, are unvonventional computing devices inspired by the architecture and the functioning of the living cell. P automata combine properties of classical automata and complex biological systems. Recently, membrane computing has been a vivid and important research area of bio-inspired computing.
