Description of the research topic:
The transition process in Kosovo has been prolonged, and there should be provided new solution for improvement of the economic situation of the country through building new strategies that provide condition for development of the human resources capacities, absorption of foreign investment and efficient use of the natural resources. The foreign investments play a crucial role for the economic development of the country. Developing countries are faced with many barriers that do not allow creation of proper conditions in attracting foreign investors.
The aim of this research is to study the main challenges that Kosovo is facing towards creating better conditions for foreign investments in Kosovo.
During the research, firstly will be analyzed the actual economic policies that has been undertaken by the Kosovo government. During the first stage will also be analyzed the best practices from the region related to the topic. Based on this analyses will be drafted the necessary recommendations.
This research will cover the entire territory of Kosovo. It will be designed to answer the topics related to Kosovo Human Resources capacity building and the efficiency use of its natural resources. The research is mainly focused on primary information sources such as Interviews (managers of different companies in Kosovo, representatives of Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare in Kosovo and university representatives). In order to better reflect in current situation during the research we will also use second hand source of information from the official publication such as: Kosovo Agency of Statistic, Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, Kosovo Business Association etc. In this research will be included the companies that have the highest number of the employers with the higher level of production in Kosovo.
The survey will also include international companies that are operating in Kosovo. There will also be a desk research, where will be analyzed what strategies other developing countries have used and what are the outcomes of those strategies. A comparative style will be one of the most used methods during the research.
