Description of the research topic:
Gamow Shell Modell (GSM) is a new theoretical model for the description of exotic atomic nuclei produced at radioactive beam facilities. The basic tool of the GSM is the Berggren-ensemble, which is a single-particle basis with complex energies. The elements of the basis are calculated by solving a second-order differential equation numerically.
The solution with high precision is a dedicate task in which
the efficiency can be improved by using parallel computing
on the recently installed supercomputer available here.
