Description of the research topic:

Migration have been defined as complex population movements. In the last few decades the different forms of migration processes have been intensified, which brought various changes into the life of the host and/or source countries.
The main research topic: analyses of the push-pull factors (natural, social and economic impacts); spatial modelling of movements and trends; analyses of the different form of migration, such as seasonal movement (labour migration in the agricultural or touristic regions), short and long term migration of the labour force and chain migration processes, return migration, identity and boundaries (diffusion and cultural markers) etc.
Methods: empirical research, statistical analyses of the database, applied GIS.
