Description of the research topic:

Description of the research topic:
The theme is related to the free form bridge structures. Starting with correspondence between form and funcionality it examines the interdependences between the structural performance and the esthetics. The theme involves the topic of visible concrete surface which is used frequently: how do the components effect to the appearance of the concrete surface. The main goal of the research is to show the interdependences between the shape design (esthetics), the structural behavior and the structural performance in the free-form bridge architecture. Besides the main goal the collaboration between the components of the integrated software system and the rules of the flow of structural data model will be researched.
Research goals:
• Show the effect of the components to the appearance of the concrete surface.
• Show the interdependences between the esthetics and the structural behavior of the free form bridge structures.
• Collaboration between the components of the integrated software system from the shape design to the realization.
