Description of the research topic:

Strategy making in central banks has grown with an attachment to big data analysis (BDA). The starting point of this doctoral research project is that an informed strategy making cannot solely rely on BDA. Including relevant (soft) knowledge will not only add further aspects to BDA but will also serve as means for making sense of the patterns emerging from BDA. I suggest a transdisciplinary approach for attempting to understand the levels of reality of central banks in small countries through a tentative process of creative problem solving leading to a contextualised model.
