Description of the research topic:
Plant detoxification is in the focus of attencion not only because of its participation in crop stress tolerance, but its importance in resistance and fitoremediation processes. One key enzyme family in the detoxification processes is the glutathione transferase ismoenzyme group. Several parts of plant responces to stress is redox regulated. However less information is known about the redox activation of glutathione transferases. The exploration of the relations between glutathione trasferases and redox status of plant cells could provide basics for a PhD research.
