Description of the research topic:

For inverse semigroups, McAlister’s theory provides a close and useful interrelations among E-unitary inverse semigroups, factorizable inverse semigroups and inverse semigroups isomorphic to semidirect products of semilattices by groups. Some parts of this theory have been already generalized for wider classes, but there are a number of open questions in important classes; e.g. in the classes of locally inverse, orthodox, and adequate semigroups.
