Description of the research topic:

Development of new enzyme-catalysed dinamic kinetic resolution (a maximum yield of 100% enantiopure product) strategies for the preparation of enantiomeric b-amino acids, important from both pharmacological and chemical aspects. Investigation of the enzymatic hydrolysis of racemic b-amino esters in water and in organic solvents. Development and optimization of the enzymatic reactions in a solvent-free system. Study of potentially of substrate engineering. Gram-scale resolutions (with the most efficient biocatalyst and optimized reaction conditions).
