Description of the research topic:

Beside the nuclear receptor action of steroid hormones there are increasing number of evidence that they also elicit their effects in a non-genomic way via G-protein-coupled receptors. In the research program the pregnant uterine, tracheal and gastrointestinal prompt effects of adrogens, estrogens, progestogens, mineralocorticoids and gluccocorticoids are investigated and molecular mechanisms will be revealed.
