Description of the research topic:

Synthesis of biomimetic substances suitable for molecular recognition is a reserch field of great interest. The abnormal protein interactions can be inhibited by these molecules; their application is expected to be used in drug research. Molecules of artificial building blocks are (called foldamers) designed and built to form ordered surfaces after folding. The structure of these molecules and their interactions with the target proteins are investigated.
