Description of the research topic:
Stimulated Raman scattering is an emerging experimental technique in biology and medicine. Its high sensitivity, resulting even microsecond integration times, allows real time imaging and monitoring of biological systems, as well as simultaneous recording of the activity of a large number of cells. The work is aimed at the development of novel stimulated Raman spectroscopic techniques for real time investigation of neural networks and other biological systems.
Required language skills: English Further requirements: Previous studies in optical spectroscopy, pulsed lasers, microscopy
