Description of the research topic:

The concept of derivational paradigm was called into question by a number of morphologists who compared derivational and inflectional morphology. However, recently morphologists have come to realize the necessity of dealing with derivational paradigms as an inherent feature of word-formation, sharing a number of features with inflectional paradigms. The dissertation is expected to map derivational paradigms in selected conceptual fields and compare the results obtained for two or more languages.
