Description of the research topic:

Productivity of word-formation rules and processes has been predominantly studied intra-linguistically in the mainstream theories. What is, however, needed is to reflect a language speaker’s creative approach to the formation of new complex words. This is necessarily conditioned by his/her age, education, and profession. The dissertation is expected to reflect one of these factors by way of comparing preferred word-formation strategies of two or three samples of informants covering different age groups, different professions, or different types of education.
