Description of the research topic:
Decisions are expected to provide a ranking of potential alternatives. We can use the preference function to determine this order. In practice, however, not all alternatives are comparable, so it is needed to invent the incomparability relation. Using this process we get separate groups and so the comparison can be applied between them. In practice the alternatives are categorized , thus eliminating the use of incomparability measure inside a group. Instead of heuristic grouping we can cluster with a well-founded measure. The procedure is of great importance in the field of learning algorithms and multicriteria decisions.
