Description of the research topic:
More predisposing factors can be distinguished for chronic pancreatitis. Rare forms often have combined effect for the disease development with small individual risk, however in a few cases they can act as causative factor as well. Here, we investigate the rare, non-frequent risk factors (i.e. autoimmune and genetically determined chronic pancreatitis) and their clinical effect for the development and progression of chronic pancreatitis.
