Description of the research topic:
"Cooperation in networks Fundamental for the mutually beneficial cooperation of economic agents is a „fair” allocation of the collectively achievable surplus in a way acceptible for all parties. As the wide range of its theoretical and practical applications attests, cooperative game theory provides suitable concepts and methods for the quantitative analysis of such multi-agent decision situations. In many of the cases when the agents are connected by some (infrastructural, communicational, organizational) network, the most beneficial way of cooperation can be determined by well-known optimization algorithms. The normative analysis or the efficient computation of the „fair” network allocations, however, are far less investigated area, giving space for individual preferences in the choice of research topics.
