Description of the research topic:
Removal and "germination" of biodeterioration on rock surfaces is one of an important role of the conservation process. It's important to deal with them, not only an aesthetic question. During the metabolic processes living organisms produce solution. Usually this is not pH neutral. Nevertheless during the physical growth can cause mechanical- or physical stress. Also need to consider their moisture retention mechanism.
In addition to the traditional non-destructive and destructive treatment (dry, wet - wet-chemical, mechanical, etc.), the goal of the research is to find alternative solutions in the restoration practice for the removal of the biodeterioration and to reviewed the earlier literature and experimental studies.
