Cultural Linguistics asserts that cultural conceptualizations prevail language and discourse, including folk cultural discourse. CCs are conceptual packages that represent the beliefs and ideas of a cultural community about life, the universe, religion, the environment, emotions, etc. The folk cultural discourse types, e.g., folk songs, folk tales, or proverbs, are manifestations of the archetypical layer of the peasant communities’ cultural cognition. The research topic investigates the interface of language, folk culture and cognition.
