Description of the research topic:

The most determining factor in the work of engineers during product design and development is the time. It is necessary to react extremely quickly to market changes. This reaction time can be significantly reduced by computers. There are several software that provide tremendous assistance to engineers in the construction design phase, from those that help with technical calculations or with modelling to those that solve optimization problems. However, in the conceptual design phase, when engineers gather their ideas in the hope of creating a new product, they have no effective computer help to systematize their ideas, making the search for ideas faster. Therefore, the main goal of the research is to explore and systematize the existing software and applications, to reveal their weaknesses and develop an effective solution.
