Description of the research topic:
Cancer is still a major achievement for medicine to this day. In our work, we investigate the effect of amiodarone, a well-established and widely used anti-arrhythmic agent, and its metabolites on tumor models. Our experiments are performed on tumor cell lines using a cell culture model and a tumor stem cell model. The effect of the treatments will be examined at the DNA, RNA and protein levels.
