Description of the research topic:
Modern surgical techniques and new chemotherapeutic agents based on a new point of attack has significantly improved the effectiveness of anti-tumor treatments, but the treatment of distant metastases and very aggressive tumor growth is still a problem. In our work, we examine the antitumor activity of various known drugs in cell culture model as well as in animal models. We study their effects on mitochondrial membrane potential and signaling pathways. We want to investigate effect of the inhibition of different signaling pathways on the efficacy of antitumor compounds.
