Description of the research topic:

Research on the effectiveness of education is becoming an increasingly important issue in the 21st century, where continuous (self-) development and flexible adaptation is one of the biggest challenges amid rapid change. The quality of higher education trainings is shown not only by the fact that the transferred knowledge was successfully acquired by the students, but also by whether the students were prepared for the appropriate needs and requirements (from the individual to the social level). These aspects are particularly important for students in medical education, on the one hand due to the exponential growth of information about healing and on the other hand due to the specifics of the job. There are many ways to transfer and acquire knowledge, to really integrate it, to become a skill, and to be constantly motivated. An unavoidable question is how effective the currently used Hungarian medical education teaching and learning are, and whether there are more effective techniques than these. Judging the quality of education should not be based on anecdotes (subjective accounts), but on the means of scientific measurement it is necessary to measure different methods and apply them in the learning-teaching processes on this basis.
