Description of the research topic:
The dysimmune inflammatory neuropathies are in 30% present of all peripheral neuropathies. By the time course, these neuropathies can be acute (e.g., GBS/AIDP, AMAN, AMSAN), intermediate (e.g., Sjögren’s syndrome, malignancies) or chronic (e.g., CIDP, MMN). According to the histological findings, the neuropathology can be demyelination or axonal loss. By the impaired fiber type, the disease may affect the large motor, sensory, autonomic and the small fibers, as well. Almost in all patients, antibodies against the peripheral nervous tissue are detectable. Usually, the treatment is effective, especially in case of early diagnosis. Research of dysimmune neuropathies is a challenge for the participants.
