Description of the research topic:

With the emergence of new Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g. IoT, Big Data, Digital Twin, etc.), new opportunities have appeared in the field of increasing the efficiency of logistics processes. The application of these solutions in the field of hospital logistics processes is covered by numerous domestic and international publications, the objectives of which include reducing the waiting time of patients and minimizing the resources required for the performance of tasks. During the research activity, the types of hospital logistics processes must be explored, as well as the currently applied areas and methods of process rationalization in order to explore scientific gaps. After delimiting the sub-area to be tested, the test models and methods needed to optimize the processes have to be developed, as well as the indicator system needed to measure the increase in efficiency have to be defined.
