Description of the research topic:

The economic consequences of the pandemic in Hungary immediately and directly affected many companies. There are industries and activities that benefit from the current period (eg courier services, online retail), however, in many cases there was an immediate decline in demand (eg tourism, some personal services such as hairdressers, beauticians).
The impacts on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises affect various parts of the country differently. The extent of this largely depends on the characteristics of the socio-economic structure and the weight of the areas or groups in each territory.
Key research questions:
a, How do/did the coronavirus epidemic shape the operation of micro, small and medium enterprises? What effects does this have on the spatial structure of the economy?
b, How do/did pandemics and crisis management affect spatial inequalities?
c, What good practices can be identified in crisis management for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises?
