Description of the research topic:
Quantum computing is one of the most promising candidates to revolutionalize artificial intelligence systems. Quantum neural networks inherit the learning capabilities of classical neural nets while involve huge computing power.
The applicant has to:
• prepare the state-of-the-art of quantum neural networks and the corresponding learning techniques,
• investigate possibilities of implementation of quantum neural networks on remotely accessible quantum computers
• define appropriate performance metrics and test the performance of the implementation according to various metrics
• adapt and improve learning techniques based on the previous results
• Give appropriate methodology how to transform classical engineering problems to quantum neural networks.
• Demonstrate the correctness of the above methodology on a selected classical problem.
