Description of the research topic:
Gastrointestinal bleeding is the most common gastroenterological emergency, with an estimated mortality of approximately 10%. The causes of bleeding are diverse; each bleeding source's frequency also varies greatly, so knowledge of the possibilities is an essential condition for timely, accurate diagnosis and then therapy.
The research aims to process the data generated during the care of gastrointestinal bleeding patients in Hungary with scientific rigour. We also aim to launch prospective observational and interventional clinical trials. Through these scientific projects, we will be able to understand this condition better.
