Description of the research topic:
Carbon nanosheets (CNs) synthesized from natural waste which is an inexpensive material with a high carbon content that is abundantly available in nature. CNs are produced using chemical activation and acid exfoliation and thermal treatments. CNs were found to be a potential candidate for electrode material in electrochemical capacitors. During this work, the Ph.D. student will confirm that CNs are good supercapacitor materials and they can be applied in energy storage devices.
