Description of the research topic:

The student is supposed to perform detailed experimental
investigations of the kinetics and mechanism of the reaactions of
biologically and industrially important (sulfur-, selenium- and halogen-
containing) species. The candidate gets acquainted with the fundaments of
experimental design for elucidating the kinetics and mechanism of a
complex system as well as the method of negligence free kinetic modelling
applied uniquely only in a couple of laboratory worldwide. The
experimental investigations and the modelling studies may be extended for
studying complex reaction mechanism working even is nonaqueous green
solvents.
