Description of the research topic:

In the Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the quantitative investigations on the ring-chain tautomeric equilibria of disubstituted naphth[1,2-e][1,3]oxazines and naphth[2,1-e][1,3]oxazines led to the first precise mathematical formulae with which to characterize the effects of aryl substituents situated other than between the heteroatoms. The potential in this research field is to investigate different model compounds and/or to modify the characther of the aryl substituents between the heteroatoms.
