Abbreviation of location of studies: KUKG

Description of the research topic:

The growth of new mobility services and requirements of users poses challenges for traditional operators, because users demand integrated mobility solutions using different transport modes with a seamless journey planning experience. A main challenge of these newly developed services is the interconnection of different transportation services using a unified methodology providing a single user interface towards the user.
Therefore, the aim of this research is to develop a novel approach for linking travel information services considering user requirements and journey planning features. During the research innovative methods will be developed for the combination of the routing results to create a high-quality seamless information, the dynamic interconnection of local services and an improved system architecture.

Main tasks of research:
- Studying routing algorithms of multimodal transport networks
- Examining raking and selection of routing solutions
- Developing a method on the optimization of the routing algorithm
- Using latent class cluster analysis to define user groups
- Exploring application opportunities with new mobility services
- Analyzing the effectiveness of the algorithm and its influence on travel behaviour
