Description of the research topic:
The social reality of the 21st century continuously presents new challenges to all members of the international community. The diversity of problems to be solved urges various forms of cooperation between the actors of public international law, particularly the significant commitments of the states. These are manifested in the dynamically expanding corpus of public international law, the gradually expanding and reformed legal instruments and the activism of its institutions. However, public international law still carries problematic attributes or shortcomings that run counter to the effective solution of problems either inherited from the 20th century or appeared recently. All these provide a framework for a variety of research activities.
