Description of the research topic:

Background
Road safety is affected by users in many different ways either behind the wheel or on foot. With the use of the latest traffic engineering software, it is now possible to realistically simulate different traffic conditions and vehicle flows. However driving simulators are required to determine driver behavior towards road safety.
Aims and objectives
The scope and objective of this research are to integrate mathematical and physical simulation to address traffic hazards by studying behavior drivers.
Tasks
a) Collect relevant literature and data.
b) Development of the driver’s behavior model.
c) Data collection by microscopic simulation (VISSIM).
d) Analysis of data.
e) Identification of the relevant human coefficients of road safety.
f) Development theory of driver behavior.
Expected results
Improve road safety.

Required language skills: English
Further requirements:
Knowledge of microscopic simulation methods
