Description of the research topic:

Immobilization of native and artificial enzymes on nanoparticulate supports is a promising way to develop highly efficient biocatalytic systems for industrial and medical applications. The use of bare enzymes in such applications was prevented so far due to their high sensitivity to the environmental conditions. The main tasks to be accomplished by the graduate student involve synthesis of lamellar nanostructures, immobilization of biocatalysts and stabilization of the composite materials in dispersions by macromolecules. The efficiency of the obtained biocolloid systems will be tested in biochemical assays, on tissues and in multicomponent systems of industrial relevance.
