Description of the research topic:
Following muscle injury dead cells are cleared by infiltrating macrophages. Clearance of dead cells transprogram inflammatory macrophages to tissue healing macrophages, which drive the regeneration program. This research program will investigate the link between the apopto-phagocytosis program and tissue regeneration.
