Description of the research topic:
A transformation on a mathematical structure endowed with binary operation(s) is called a local
automorphism (more precisely, a 2-local automorphism), if its values at any two points of their
domain coincide with the values of an automorphism at those points. In several structures
consisting of linear operators the interesting phenomenon occurs that their local automorphisms
are necessarily (global) automorphisms. In such cases we can say that the automorphisms of
those structures are completely determined by their local actions on two point subsets.
The aim of the doctoral work is to overview the related knowledge available in the literature
and then to do research along this line and obtain new results that would contribute to the area.
