Több európai és amerikai előadókörúton és számos nemzetközi tudományos konferencián vett részt. Háromszor töltött be diplomácia funkciót Bukarestben (1990-1995) és kétszer Párizsban (1999-2003., ill. 2011-2015). Diplomataként több geostratégiai jellegű elemzést is közzé tett. 2018. március 22. óta az ELTE nyugdíjas professzora. (to be translated)
