1. A vezetésemmel adaptált "NCGIA CC", az első magyar térinformatika oktatási anyag volt, szinte minden hazai egyetemen felhasználták. 2. Az "Association of Geographic Information Laboratories for Europe" Elnökség tagja voltam (2001-2006). 3. A Földmérők Nemzetközi Szövetsége (FIG) Oktatási Bizottságának 2006 óta elnöke vagyok. 4. Az elmúlt években vendégprofesszor voltam hat külföldi egyetemen. 5. Iskolateremtő munkámért megkaptam a Magyar Köztársasági Érdemrend lovagkeresztje kitüntetést. (to be translated)
