-- In 1994 I successfully applied for establishing ELTE's PhD programme for English linguistics. I was director of the programme from the academic year of 1995/96 till May 14, 2013. During this period our programme had 20 successful PhD defences. --- At present I am professor emeritus of ELTE's Institute of English and American Studies.
