I was a professor of neurology and molecular genetics at US universities between 1990 and 2011. I consulted patients with rare neurological disorders, and trained physician-scientists and postdocs in my lab. The reason why I moved to Hungary in 2012 was to develop a Center for Molecular Medicine with a significant research component. My current research is focused on molecular characterization of glioblastoma.
