A Doktori Iskola vezetői feladatait az alapítástól kezdve, 1993 szeptemberétől 2008 végéig láttam el. Tudományos vezetésem alatt dolgozott az a PhD-hallgató, aki a Miskolci Egyetemen elsőként nappali tagozatos állami ösztöndíjasként 36 hónap alatt idegen nyelven (angol) kiváló eredménnyel eleget tett minden tanulmányi kötelezettségének és Summa Cum Laude minősítéssel megszerezte a PhD-fokozatot (2006).
