Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopic monitoring of changes in plant physiology (e.g. grain formation or germination) has previously been the focus of many cases during the work of the NIR Spectroscopy Group [1-5]. Since then, the growth of our instrument park has enabled, on the one hand, extended spectroscopic measurements in the mid-infrared (MIR) region of the electromagnetic range, and, on the other hand, the use of imaging techniques in the NIR/MIR microscopic, ultraviolet (UV) and visible (Vis) range, which can be used for morphological and tissue analyzes [6], can be applied to chemical imaging (CI) and mapping [7]. Multivariate data analysis (MVDA) serves as the basis for the development of qualitative and/or quantitative models. The main goal of the doctoral work is the UV, Vis, NIR, MIR spectroscopic examination of the development of different, agriculturally privileged, plants from controlled cultivation, to monitor their physiological state and content values in addition to different environmental variables in the context of climate change, biodiversity and food safety. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the various fields, we would further strengthen the forms of cooperation and networks between the research groups within the university, partner universities, research institutes and industrial partners during our research.
