Justification of the research topic:
The number and range of interventions carried out by disaster management organs and the rescue activities carries out by fire services are growing year by year. Suitability for interventions is a priority in this area that affects human lives and material possessions and serves the safety of society. Adapting to the changing circumstances and meeting the various requirements are part of everyday tasks. These aims demand knowledge, competences and practices from both personnel and management that optimise intervention capabilities. Being a highly technical field, it requires continually exploring the adaptability of newly available technical devices.
Objectives:
To identify the circumstances of disaster management interventions, including primary interventions and activities.
To examine the system of organisations and equipment of disaster management
To explore possibilities to improve intervention capabilities
To develop skills of using available technical devices, suitability tests of various equipment
Research methods:
To conduct various measurements, experiments, analyses and to interpret results with scientific methods.
To search for and examine technological solutions, to create new possibilities
To examine the adoption and adaptation of international experience.
To analyse knowledge related to disaster management interventions based on available printed and electronic specialist literature, written texts, images and videos as well as other descriptions, studies and the topic supervisors’ own examinations.
To create related models and to test their practical applicability.
