Modeling the information spread with knowledge graphs in higher education
Nowadays, the rate of publication is strongly accelerated. In the same time, the dissemination of knowledge, the spread of novel scientific solutions and their utilization is outstandingly important. To strengthen this, new research is needed which focuses on the measurement of knowledge spreading, the diffusion of scientific results. The analysis of this field is crucial, since through this research the questions can be answered such as what patterns can be identified related to the diffusion of novel solutions across the scientific community network? This also enables to better understand that which strategies lead to the fastest dissemination and furthermore, which strategies are the best in supporting he scholars’ academic career development and success. Furthermore, this research is also important from the control’s perspective, since the desired findings and conclusions make it possible to better support the development of research synergies across national and/or international organizations.
Main objectives of the research
The aim of the research is to explore the patterns of knowledge diffusion across higher educational institutes with the application of graph theory. This research also helps us to better understand, how the identified patterns drive the collaboration among research institutes and makes it possible to analyze and identify the main drivers of the successful academic career development.

Napjainkban a kutatási eredmények publikációs sebessége meglehetősen felgyorsult. Ugyanakkor a felgyülemlett ismeretanyag és tudás disszeminációja, az új ismeretek terjedése, hasznosítása kiemelkedő fontossággal bír. Ehhez szükséges lenne egy olyan kutatás, amely fókuszában a disszemináció hatékonyságának mérése, az ismeretanyag a kapcsolati és együttműködési hálón belüli terjedése kerül vizsgálat alá. Ez azért kiemelkedően fontos, mert ennek segítségével nem csak választ kaphatunk arra a kérdésre, hogy hazai és nemzetközi viszonylatban milyen mintázatokat követ egy kapcsolati hálón belül az új ismeretanyag disszeminációja, hanem lehetővé teszi azt is, hogy mely stratégiák vezetnek a leggyorsabb és leghatékonyabb terjedés eléréséhez, ezzel együtt pedig lehetőséget teremet annak feltérképezésére is, hogy milyen intézményi stratégiák támogatják leginkább a hatékony akadémiai előmenetelt akár hazai akár nemzetközi szinten. Beavatkozási szempontból is fontos a fentiekben vázolt kérdés, hiszen egy ilyen kutatás eredményei lehetőséget teremtenek mind intézményi, mind politikai oldalról a kutatási szinergiák létrejöttének támogatására és fejlesztésére.

Main objectives of the research
A kutatás célja egy hálózatalapú megközelítés alkalmazásával feltérképezni a felsőoktatási intézményekben létrejött tudás terjedésének és disszeminációjának viselkedését, mintázatait. A kutatás ugyanakkor választ ad arra a kérdésre is, hogy ez miként segíti elő az intézmények és kutató központok közötti együttműködést, és lehetőséget teremt az akadémiai előmenetel alakulásának vizsgálatára is. Feltárja, hogy mely stratégiák azok, amelyek leginkább támogatják a megszerzett tudás és ismeretanyag hálózaton belüli terjedését és hasznosulását.
